Austin Ross is a Lohan Candidate assistant instructor at Meng’s Martial of Richmond under his sifu, Master Chango Noaks Sr., and a mental health professional. He finished his bachelor's degree in medical humanities from IUPUI in 2016 and since has spent a year of service is as a researcher for United Way of Madison County (Anderson, IN) on the topic of opioid misuse though AmeriCorps and is now an Adolescent Guidance Specialist at Fairbanks Hospital in Castleton helping adolescents work through issues that brought them to drug abuse.
Mr. Ross’s martial arts journey began in July 2013 under Master Noaks; beginning in the Leadership Elite Program. He quickly took advantage of all the programs Meng’s of Richmond had to offer - Adult, Leadership Elite, Wushu, Qi Gong, Children's Class and Mighty Mites Class. All of the classes and his Kung Fu family have helped him become a better person, teacher, and leader. He has competed and side judged at the Arnold Classic Battle of Columbus and Miami Valley Tiger/Dragon Tournaments and has won medals for continuous sparring, grappling, tai chi forms, and tai chi push hands. Mr Ross achieved the level of Black Sash on December 4th 2021.
